Lymphoplasmacytic Lymphoma Cancer: No Pain, No Gain

aaargh! in a speech balloon

As I’ve already mentioned in a previous post, my Lymphoplasmacytic Lymphoma has got to the stage where my bones are quite brittle due to the chemo. That being the case, pain is an ever-present sidekick to this cancer journey I’m on, and, in answer to your obvious question, yes, the pain does make me shout AAARGH sometimes.

It’s what it is and there is little I can do about it except take hot baths and pain killers. Sometimes these remedies work and sometimes they don’t. It’s all down to how my body reacts, which I have no control over.

But at least I’m close to the end of this journey. My last blood works showed I was winning the fight. So much so, last week my doctor performed a bone marrow aspiration which will show either the cancer is beaten or that I may need more chemotherapy. I wait in anticipation.

In the meantime, I am onto my last scheduled cycle tomorrow, Tuesday 22nd November 2022. So, by the time Christmas is upon us, I will have finished that last cycle and hopefully have good news about my Lymphoma, in that it’s gone.

Of course, there is no guarantee the Lymphoma won’t come back. If it does, I’ll deal with it in the same positive manner I’m currently using.

Cancer will not define me.
