Getting a little confused of late because my main website crashed about two weeks ago and I’ve lost a lot of data. Posts and pages are still there, but the media I created for various blogs was wiped out as well as other essential data. To cap it all, my website wouldn’t let me login to fix the problem. Even my hosting service was at a loss. So, I did what we used to call ‘flattening’ back in the day when the PC was first invented.
So many things went wrong in those days, we were always wiping a PC’s drive or the server’s drive. This was referred to as flattening. Don’t ask me why, because it should have been called wiping if anything.
Anyway, I digress, dear reader. What I’ve done is flattened the server, i.e., wiped the flawed installation of wordpress.org and started again. Hence this first post.
It’s a brave new world out there, and when things go wrong for indie authors, they must be brave to sort out the problem, because when you’re an indie-anything, you have to be a jack-of-all-trades and a superhero to boot… and have no regrets.
Onwards and upwards.
