People like to laugh at certain things and I pretty much agree with most forms of humour. For writers, Bill Bryson has to be one of the funniest I have ever come across. His work literally makes me laugh out loud and brings tears to my eyes.
For comedians I don’t think you can top the late, great Dave Allen. His visual humour is outstanding but his observations on life are just too funny for words.
As for movies, I must admit that beyond Life of Brian I don’t actually like comedies that much. Isn’t that strange.
And I’m far from politically correct, so if I find something funny I will laugh at it and don’t care who frowns about it.
Humour in general travels well from country to country, but I have to admit that being English I like British humour more than any other offerings.
